| Passports and Visas a US passport with expiration later than 6 months beyond trip date is required. Visas are required for Vietnam and Cambodia (if taking optional extension). Sterling Tours suggest the use of a visa service to obtain the visas. Cost of visas and visa service is additional. Flights Our land-only tour begins in Singapore and ends in Hanoi (or Siemreap if taking optional extension to Angkor Wat). In order to provide maximum flexibility in choice of airline, routing, and class of service, guests are responsible for booking their own flights to join the tour. Assistance with flights is available through special arrangement with Cadence Travel Management of La Jolla (see details below). Flights from Saigon to Hanoi and Hanoi to Siemreap (if taking optional extension) are included in land tour price. All other flights, including Singapore to Saigon must be purchased separately. When booking flights, please bear in mind these important dates and times: Singapore arrival: Our first hotel night is Weds Nov 7. As transpacific flights cross the international dateline enroute, please be sure to book the correct departure date from North America to ensure arrival and check in on Weds Nov 7. We can arrange hotels nights (additional cost) before the tour as needed to suit your schedule. Singapore to Saigon Nov 10: Suggested flight is Jetstar #557, departs 200pm, arrives 305pm. Hanoi departure: For guests not taking the optional extension to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, flights from Hanoi should be Sat Nov 17, any time of day is fine as there are no scheduled events that day except breakfast at the hotel. If taking extension to Angkor Wat: We have a partial day of sightseeing on November 19th. There are limited flight options out of Siemreap: Bangkok Airways to Bangkok, Silkair to Singapore, Vietnam Airlines to Hanoi or Saigon, Asiana or Korean Air to Seoul, China Eastern to Shanghai. Flights from Siemreap should be booked to depart no earlier than 230pm.. Airline Options We suggest contacting Leslie Garber of Cadence Travel Management to book your flights. A fee is charged for her service, but it is well worth the nominal cost.
